Make a Belt Workshop: In this engaging introduction to the art of leather work for making belts, you'll learn essential traditional techniques such as strap cutting, creasing, glazing, carving, embossing, stitch setting, edge bevelling, saddle stitching, burnishing, and finishing. Get ready to dive into the world of leather work using high-quality, locally sourced English oak-tanned leather to create a one-of-a-kind, bespoke item that showcases your personal style and craftsmanship. Join us for a hands-on experience that promises to be both educational and incredibly satisfying.

This immersive belt-making workshop thoroughly covers the detailed process of belt making, using a variety of traditional tools, creasing, stitch marking for precision, carving and embossing to add your own unique flair, as well as pattern design and finishing techniques to ensure a spectacular end product. You will learn the traditional saddle stitch method using an awl and high-quality linen thread, resulting in a lasting, beautiful belt that you can proudly say will last a lifetime, along with the invaluable knowledge that you crafted it entirely yourself. To ensure personalised attention and an intimate learning experience, the places are limited to just four people per course.

The total cost of the weekend workshop is set at £135 per person, and all material costs are conveniently covered by the course fee, ensuring that you have everything you need to dive right into the creative experience without any additional expenses.
